What are Media Planners and Media Buyers?

The Media Planner is responsible for a broad involvement in the media planning process to expand individual knowledge base and media experiences. This includes evaluating tactical media options and planning the recommended media strategy.

The Media Planner will also develop and administer media budgets, source media research and monitor competitive advertising expenditure.

The Media Buyer is responsible for the negotiation and placement of all media for existing clients.

Media Planners and Media Buyers are problem solvers, they have an excellent grasp of the media landscape and consumer trends, patterns and habits; and they have to be good negotiators to secure the most cost-efficient allocation of the available media budget.
